Shoulder Coupling and fitting

Advanced pipe shoulder Coupling are manufactured from high quality cast iron and then hot dipped galvanized to provide a long service life in typical environments including being dragged around coal long walls, gold mine slopes or dewatering holes in open pit mines . The final dimensions of the coupling are critical in connecting and sealing the two shoulder ends. Therefore, Advanced Piping shoulder joints are wax cast with near-perfect dimensional tolerances. Wax cast couplings are far superior to sand cast or pressed metal couplings. Each shoulder Coupling is equipped with an active nitrile rubber (NBR) seal designed to tighten as pressure increases. NBR is suitable for drinking water, has excellent fuel and oil resistance, and has an operating temperature range of -35°C to +120°C. Couplings can be recycled multiple times so seals/gaskets can be used as spares if needed. Couplings 50-355mm have two plated bolts, the larger sizes 400-630mm have 4 bolts. The coupling is AS 4680 galvanized and fitted with nitrile rubber rings. Overall ruggedness and intelligent design result in a product that will continue to provide years of excellent service in even the toughest environments. The PowerCoupling range includes all shoulder sizes from 50mm to 600mm inside diameter. This includes standard two bolts, toggle, hinge joints (minimumX150), heavy duty and 4 bolt couplings, all on the shelf.
Shoulder Coupling can be used to join HDPE pipe when butt welding or EF welding is not possible. Shouldered pipe couplings meet or exceed HDPE pressure ratings and allow the connected pipe to be pulled or dragged. Shoulder couplings are ideal for quick connect and release, ideal for temporary pipe or dewatering applications. Simply use a standard socket wrench or impact driver to install the shoulder coupling. Shoulder Coupling mechanically lock shouldered pipe ends together in a safe and secure manner. They cannot blow out under pressure or pull apart under vibration because the shoulder portion of the joint engages the entire circumference of the pipe shoulder. Pipe shoulder joints allow for some expansion and contraction of the pipe length. Shoulder couplings are useful for joining steel pipe to HDPE, allowing for an easy transition from HDPE pipe to grooved steel pipe. Similar to Victaulic couplings, shoulder couplings join double-groove HDPE pipe.
